Main Road, Chatton, NE66 5PS
Sunday Lunch on 29th September 2019.
It's a relaxed dog-friendly country pub serving Sunday Roasts 12-7.45pm.
Prawn Cocktail and Granary Bread £6.95
Game Terrine, homemade chutney,
sourdough toast £6.95
Homemade spiced carrot and orange soup £5.95
Silverside of Beef £12.95
Sirloin of Beef , served pink £14.95
Roast Chicken £12.95
All our roasts were served with a tasty stuffing, smooth mash, creamed swede, roast parsnip and roast potatoes.
A varied selection of fresh seasonal vegetables - chantenay carrots, broccoli, mange tout, savoy cabbage and peas were served to share and we were told there was plenty more if we wanted it. We were also served a pot of extra gravy and a side of creamed leeks, which was a nice touch.
The description on the menu didn't do the meal justice, as there was a lot more offered. The beef was melt in the mouth, the stuffing exceptional and I loved the variety of vegetables, seven in total. The homemade desserts were all beautifully presented
Apple Tarte Tatin £6.95
Chocolate Brownie £6.95
Sticky Toffee Pudding £5.95
