Enjoy our mouth-watering food and coffee

At Kirkharle, we’re passionate about good food. All of our dishes are home-made and we love to use locally sourced ingredients. Serving brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and delicious scones, cakes and traybakes. Our Seasonal Specials change throughout the year and we have a selection of alcoholic drinks including Tia Maria Mocha and Baileys Latte.

Kirkharle is a thriving visitor attraction situated in the centre of rural Northumberland. Come and visit the birthplace, and first workplace of Capability Brown, then take a moment to enjoy the lake, recently restored according to Brown’s original plans. He became arguably the most famous landscape gardener in English history and was described as ‘the Shakespeare of Gardening'.

Dogs are permitted around the Courtyard and Lake but must be on a lead at all times. Dogs are not allowed in the Coffee House  but can accompany owners in the outside seating area
